Abstract:
This paper aims to explore the journey of art and literature from the early impressions of creativity and imagination i.e. prehistoric cave paintings to current scenario i.e. use of technology and NFT. While tracing the evolution of art, the influence of economy and technology on how an art object /work is produced or presented and perceived is also discussed. It contends that in the age of hyperreality, not only the distinction between real and simulated is getting blurred, rather the demarcation between physical and virtual is also collapsing as can be noted in the works of contemporary creators like Damein Hirst and Lans King.
