Abstract: This article studies the interactions between poetic language and cinematographic language in the poetry of Marília Garcia. Taking into account the research of Rosa Maria Martelo (2007, 2012), this work explores dialogs between poetry and cinema to analyze the poem “estereofonia” (stereophonia) in the book Camera Lenta (Slow Motion). In addition, the article positions the poem closer to the cinema of poetry, a cinematographic genre described by Pier Paolo Pasolini (1982). Ultimatley, it concludes that cinematographic syntax organizes the word-images of Marília Garcia’s poetics.
