Article Info:
Interrogation of Wanjiru Waithaka’s The Unbroken Spirit is an exploration of a woman writer’s self perspective on sexual harassment as an act of violation, which men use to display brutality on the female body. Through literary representation, sexual harassment enters into the discourse of gender power relations. Thus, Waithaka makes the image of an oppressed as well as an exploited woman accessible both to the reader and the critic. Her textual depiction of the sexually harassed female is the backdrop against which interrogation of sexual harassment is made.
