Abstract: The Dalit community in Maharashtra, like in many other parts of India, has faced social exclusion and discrimination for centuries. Despite the constitutional provisions and affirmative action policies that have been put in place to address this, the community continues to face numerous challenges and struggles. This paper will explore the plight of Dalits in Maharashtra, their experiences of social exclusion, and the efforts being made to address these issues.
