Abstract:
In Richard Wright's autobiographical novel, "Black Boy," the author portrays the racial discrimination the black community faces. This paper examines the systemic racism and prejudice encountered by African Americans during the early 20th century. Through the use of direct quotes, indirect quotes, and critical analysis, this paper delves into the different forms of discrimination and their effects on the protagonist, Richard Wright. The main argument of this paper is that "Black Boy" stands as a powerful testament to the ongoing battle against racial discrimination in the United States.
