Abstract:
It is a widely accepted fact that women around the world have been subjugated, dominated and denied their rights in one way or another. But Muslim women in particular have been walking on a double-edged sword of Modernism and Islam. Some Islamic scholars have come to terms to a new branch of feminism: Islamic feminism. Many activists have worked for the rights of women within the frame work of Islam. One such voice is that of Nobel peace laureate Malala Yousafzai.
